Srinagar | : Police on Friday said that it has seized 3 JCBs, 1 tractor involved in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals at Reram–Gardimaidan Nallah, Ferozpora, during night hours . Baramulla Police launched a special operation in the area.
In a statement issued here on Friday Police said that special police teams seized three unregistered JCB machines and one tractor with registration number JK09-8663. Four individuals were arrested in connection with these activities and identified as Saqib Manzoor, Mushtaq Ahmad Dar, Waseem Ahmad Reshi, and Muzaffar Ahmad Ganie. A case under FIR No. 16/2026 has been registered and further investigations are underway. In its statement Police reiterated its commitment to combat illegal mining and appealed people to report such unlawful practices.
