Srinagar : Police on Thursday said that it has arrested a drug peddler in Sopore and recovered Psychotropic substance from his possession.
In a statement issued here on Thursday Police said that a police team from the Sopore Police Station apprehended a suspect identified as Umar Tariq Dar, during a routine naka checking at Chachu Mode, Iqbal Nagar Sopore. Upon conducting his personal search officers recovered and seized Spasmoproxyvon Plus capsules and Alprazolam tablets from hom. The accused was subsequently arrested, and a case was registered under FIR No. 38/2026 at the Police Station Sopore, with an investigation currently underway. In its statement police emphasized its commitment to create a drug-free society and sought people’s cooperation in combating the drug menace.
