DC Ramban reviews performance of Banks, Stresses on implementation of youth oriented schemes

Ramban: Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Mohammad Alyas Khan, Tuesday chaired the District Level Review Committee (DLRC) and District Level RSETI Advisory Committee (DLRAC) meeting to assess the performance of banks and review the implementation of the financial inclusion and employment generation schemes in the district.
The meeting was attended by CPO Dr. Shakeeb Ahmed Rather, ACD Sheraz Ahmed, Lead District Officer RBI Anil Kumar, LDM Davinder Singh, Director RSETI S. Harvinder Singh, DDM NABARD and senior officers of District Administration and Bankers.
During the meeting, it was informed that the district’s Credit-Deposit (CD) ratio has increased by 1.98%, reaching 72.78% as on December 31, 2025, compared to the previous quarter ended on September 30, 2025. An amount of ₹385.79 crore has been spent under the Priority Sector, achieving 65.51% of the ₹588.91 crore Annual Credit Plan (ACP) 2025-26 targets. The Non-Priority Sector saw a credit outlay of ₹384.13 crore.
The Deputy Commissioner instructed the Bankers to focus on the targets under priority sector especially Education, Housing and Social Infrastructure development. He directed bankers to work in close coordination with the line departments for effective implementation of schemes and service delivery. He asked banks to organize awareness camps in uncovered areas to sensitize the public about the social security, financial inclusion and Job oriented schemes.
Calling for swift processing of loan cases under PM VISHWAKARMA and KCC, the DC stressed on delivering timely benefits to local youth. He also called upon Departments and Banks to intensify their efforts to achieve targets under PMEGP and other schemes providing loans to the youth under Mission YUVA. He further directed the officers to take lead in implementation of PMMY, PMSBY, PMJJBY and APY schemes in the district.
Chairing the District Level RSETI Advisory Committee (DLRAC) meeting, the Deputy Commissioner also reviewed the performance of the institute. He also emphasized the need to enhance market-relevant training, increase the number of eligible cases and ensure financial and marketing linkages to empower the unemployed youth. Meanwhile, Director RSETI presented an overview of the achievements, ongoing initiatives and training programmes.
