H&H Deptt organises capacity building program at Kulgam

Kulgam: A one day capacity building program on Design, Packaging and Branding for Artisans, weavers and other producer groups engaged in GI/ODOP/DEH products of Kashmir division was organisedSaturday at Conference Hall Mini SecretriatKulgam under RAMP (Raising & Accelerating MSME Performance) Scheme by Handicrafts and Handloom (H&H) department Kulgam.
The program witnessed enthusiastic participation of more than 100 Artisans/Weavers and other producer groups from across the Kulgam district.
Experts in design and marketing from JKEDI Kulgam delivered detailed presentations on the importance of product value addition through improved eco-friendly packaging, labelling standards and Brand Creation.
Participants were sensitized about the role of social media platforms, e-commerce opportunities in promoting traditional kashmiri Crafts.
Interactive session was held wherein the participants shared their experience, challanges and suggestions about marketing and packaging of products.
