Reasi:Under the visionary leadership of Khalil Choudhary, Chairman, District Legal Services Authority, Reasi (also Pr. District and Sessions Judge Reasi) and the able guidance of Pooja Gupta, Secretary, DLSA Reasi, an awareness programme on Mediation for Nation 2.0 Campaign was organized by the Para Legal Volunteers(PLVs) of TLSC Mahore at Mahore Court Complex and various other places in Mahore, here Saturday.
The programme aimed at promoting amicable settlement of disputes through mediation mechanisms, thereby reducing litigation burden and ensuring speedy, cost-effective and accessible justice for the common people. Participants were sensitized to actively participate in the campaign with the shared objective of enhancing legal awareness, promoting amicable dispute resolution ,and strengthening access to justice for all.
Another, Awareness Programme on “Bal Vivah Mukt Bharat” (Child Marriage Free India) was organized by the Para Legal Volunteers of TLSC Katra at Village Saroon, Katra. During the programme, the PLVs sensitized the local residents, especially women, youth and parents, about the ill-effects and legal consequences of child marriage. The participants were informed about the provisions of the Prohibition of Child Marriage Act, 2006 and the punishments prescribed for those involved in promoting or solemnizing child marriages. Emphasis was laid on the importance of education, health and empowerment of girls for building a progressive and strong society.
An awareness programme on various Schemes related to distribution of ration i.e., BPL Rations, APL Rations, AAY Scheme etc. conducted by Para Legal Volunteers(PLVs) of DLSA, Reasi.
The purpose of the programme was to provide awareness to the general public, especially BPL, APL families regarding the Ration schemes and also provide necessary information about the formalities regarding the schemes. The initiative aims to protect vulnerable people from hunger and malnutrition.
