DC reviews functioning of Distt Hospital Poonch

Pooch : District Development Commissioner (DDC) Poonch, Ashok Kumar Sharma conducted a comprehensive review of the functioning of District Hospital Poonch to assess healthcare services and ensure better patient care in the district.
The review meeting was attended by Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Muhammad Sayed, Chief Medical Officer, Dr Parvaiz Ahmed Khan, Medical superintendent District Hospital, Dr. Mohd Shafeeq, Deputy Chief Medical Officer, Dr Ruby Naz Bhatti, District Immunization Officer, Dr Zoohra, consultant doctors, medical officers, in-charge of wards and operation theatre (OT) along with officials from various hospital sections.
The DDC directed the health authorities to ensure patient-friendly services in the hospital and emphasized on providing treatment with zero out-of-pocket expenditure for patients. He stressed that patients’ rights must be given top priority and healthcare services should remain accessible and affordable for all.
He also instructed the CMO to organise a special cataract surgery camp in the district to facilitate treatment for patients suffering from eye-related ailments.
The DDC further directed hospital authorities to focus on increasing normal deliveries, maintain round-the-clock cleanliness across the hospital premises and strengthen overall healthcare infrastructure and services.
Various hospital sections, ongoing healthcare schemes and service delivery mechanisms were discussed in detail during the meeting, with officials asked to ensure efficient implementation of government health initiatives.
