CBC organizes awareness on CSSs at Manjakote

Rajouri :A one day Integrated Communication and Outreach Programme (ICOP) on VB G RAM G, Poshan Abhiyan and National Livestock Mission was organized by Central Bureau of Communication, Poonch, (J&K), Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India at Dak Banglow, Manjakote of Rajouri.
Block Development Officer (BDO), Majakote, Shoeb Aslam, Child Development Project Officer (CDPO) Manjakote, Israr Bukhari, Veterinary Assistant Surgeon (VAS) Sheep Husbandry Manjakote, Dr. Abid Subhani, officials of RDD, Supervisors, Anganwari workers of ICDS, former PRI members attended the programme.
The information was disseminated using Expert Lectures on VB G RAM G, Poshan Abhiyan and National Livestock Mission, Open Quiz, distribution of ‘New India Samachar’ magazine of Government of India and cultural ite
Shoeb Aslam spoke about the Viksit Bharat Guarantee for Rozgaar& Ajivika Mission (Gramin) Act 2025 (VB G RAM G Act-2025). He said the Viksit Bharat Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission Gramin Act responds to various weak experiences of MGNREGA through a comprehensive legislative reset. It strengthens the implementation framework by increasing the administrative expenditure ceiling from 6 percent to 9 per cent, providing greater support for staffing, remuneration, training and technical capacity. This shift reflects a practical and people -centred approach to programme management, moving towards a more professional and adequately supported system. Stronger administrative capacity is expected to improve planning and execution; enhance service delivery and reinforce accountability, ensuring that the objectives of the new framework are achieved consistently at the village level. He also appreciated the role of CBC for spreading awareness in urban and rural areas.
Israr Bukhari spoke about Poshan Abhiyan and other allied schemes of ICDS. He highlighted the main objectives and characteristics of Poshan Abhiyan. He said that Poshan abhiyan aims at improving the nutrition of children between 0-6 years of age, expecting and lactating mothers and reducing the death rate occurring due to malnutrition. This mission spreads awareness regarding healthy and balanced diet, health check- ups and nutrition through Anganwari centres. The targets set are achieved through celebrating Poshan Maah and Poshan Pakhwaras. Poshan Tracker App helps in monitoring real time data. One thousand (1000) days of special care is given to the mother and her new born child.
Dr. Abid Subani gave an overview of various schemes related to Sheep Husbandry Department like National Livestock Mission, Dharti Abha, etc for employment generation, entrepreneurship, increase in animal productivity, ( meat of Sheep, Goat; poultry, wool, egg) availability of fodder cultivation etc. He explained criteria and subsidy for availing various schemes.
Vijay Mattoo, I/c CBC, Rajouri in his welcome address gave a detailed overview of the Integrated Communication and Outreach Programme (ICOP). He said that the Government of India is committed towards making India self reliant and developed by 2047. He discussed various initiatives under various Centrally Sponsored Schemes. He enlightened the gathering about various initiatives through which one can become self reliant and from job seeker job provider.
An open Quiz was also conducted to engage the audience on the topic of Centrally Sponsored schemes and general awareness. Theme based and folk cultural items were presented by the Empanelled Troupe of CBC, J&K. Zaboor and Zarina also spoke on the topics. All the winners of competitions and guests were honoured by CBC Poonch.
