Govt. Polytechnic College Reasi organised an Awareness Prog under Nasha Mukt Bharat

Reasi: Government Polytechnic College ReasiFriday organised an Awareness Programme under Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan. The programme aimed to spread awareness among students about the harmful effects of drug abuse and to promote a healthy, addiction-free lifestyle. The session was organised under the guidance of Principal Government Polytechnic Reasi Er Arun Bangotra, Chief Medical Officer, Reasi, Dr. Mohd Ashraf Kohli and Medical Superintendent, Dr. Gopal Datt.
The resource persons for the session were Dr. Minali, Medical Officer, Dr. Bilal Ahmed, Medical Officer and Raj Kumari, ANM. The resource persons delivered informative and insightful talks highlighting the physical, mental and social consequences of substance abuse. They emphasized the importance of early prevention, counseling, community support and adopting positive habits to stay away from drugs.
Dr. Minali elaborated on the medical complications caused by drug addiction and stressed the need for timely medical intervention. Dr. Bilal Ahmed discussed the psychological impact of substance abuse and motivated students to make responsible life choices. Raj Kumari (ANM) addressed the preventive measures at the community level and encouraged students to act as ambassadors of a drug-free society.
The programme was organised under the supervision of Er. Himanshu Bakshi, Demonstrator, with the support of faculty members. A large number of students actively participated in the session and gained valuable knowledge about the vision and objectives of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan. The interactive session helped students understand their role in building a healthier and addiction-free India. The event concluded with a message encouraging everyone to pledge their commitment towards a drug-free nation. Other present on the occasion were faculty members, Vandana, Nisha, Parshotam, Veena, Anil, Meenakshi, Ayushi Mangotra and Vaishali.
