Srinagar: Army Commander of the Northern Command, Lt Gen Pratik Sharma on Thursday chaired a Joint Control Centre meeting in Srinagar to review security preparedness and strengthen inter-agency coordination.
The meeting was attended by senior Army leadership along with officials from the Jammu and Kashmir Police, Central Reserve Police Force, Border Security Force and other stakeholders.
The Army’s Northern Command in a post on X said that deliberations focused on real-time intelligence fusion and seamless coordination among security agencies to ensure swift response and maintain a mission-ready posture.
“Lt Gen Pratik Sharma, #ArmyCdrNC, chaired the Joint Control Centre meeting at #Srinagar, attended by senior Army leadership alongwith officials of JKP, CRPF, BSF and other stakeholders. Deliberations focused on real-time intelligence fusion and seamless inter-agency coordination to ensure swift response and a mission-ready posture,” the post said.
Security agencies in Jammu and Kashmir have been holding weekly joint security review meetings to enhance coordination and operational synergy among the various forces deployed across the union Territory.
The initiative, officials said, is aimed at improving intelligence sharing, streamlining response mechanisms, and ensuring a unified approach to security management in the region. Officials said the meetings are intended to collect structured feedback from field officers and evaluate ground-level inputs to better inform operational planning and response strategies.
Last week, Northern Army Commander had chaired the weekly Joint Control Centres meeting in virtual mode.
