Awantipora :The Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST) today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Government Polytechnic College Budgam (GPCB) to expand its outreach network and promote structured academic cooperation.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) establishes a collaborative framework between two institutions focused on academic exchange, skill development, and mutual support. This partnership aims to enhance the sharing of knowledge, expertise, and best practices, facilitating various training programs, skill development initiatives, and internship opportunities for students. Under the agreement, both institutions will jointly organize workshops, seminars, and capacity-building programs in areas of shared interest. The MoU also allows for shared access to laboratories, technical facilities, and academic resources, which will bolster research and practical learning. Additionally, the collaboration encourages projects that aim to improve innovation, industry readiness, and student employability, thereby enhancing institutional linkages and academic quality. The MoU was signed by Prof. Ayaz Hassan Moon, Dean of Academic Affairs at IUST, and Er. Javaid Iqbal, Principal of GPCB. The coordination of the agreement was managed by the Centre for Career Counselling and Placements (CCCP) at IUST. The signing ceremony included senior officials from both institutions, highlighting the commitment to fostering a strong educational partnership.
