Ganderbal : Department of Information Technology, Central University of Kashmir (CUKashmir), in collaboration with the Innovation, Incubation and Entrepreneurship Centre, SK University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology Kashmir (SKUAST-K), organized a workshop “Agritech Excellence & Innovations” under the India AI Impact Summit 2026, aligned with the theme “Economic Growth & Social Good”.
The workshop centered on the integration of Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things (IoT), sensors, and automation within agriculture, particularly focusing on the challenges faced by walnut, saffron, and apple crops in Jammu and Kashmir. Sr Asst Prof. Dr. Zahoor Ahmad Najar emphasized the critical role of technology-driven innovations in enhancing the agricultural ecosystem of the region during his welcome address. Dr. Abdul Rouf Khan, Asst Prof and Junior Scientist at SKUAST-K, delivered the keynote address, providing valuable insights into emerging agritech solutions and their practical applications in the field. The event saw enthusiastic participation from both students and faculty members, indicating a strong interest in the subject matter. Coordination of the workshop was managed by Dr. Shahid Sultan and Dr. Yash Paul, with support from Er. Afaq Alam Khan. Dr. Shahid Sultan concluded the event with a vote of thanks, acknowledging the contributions of all involved.
