Bandipora : An awareness programme was successfully organized by SANKALP-HEW Bandipora at Chandaji, a far flung area of the district with SHG members focusing on the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 (POSH Act), SHe-Box Portal, and NashaMukht Bharat Abhiyan (NMBA).
The programme aimed to sensitize participants about workplace safety, grievance redressal mechanisms, and the importance of a drug-free society.
The officials from the SANKALP-HEW emphasized the importance of creating a safe and respectful working environment and encouraged women to come forward without fear or hesitation. Awareness was generated about the Nasha Mukht Bharat Abhiyan.
On the occasion, the harmful effects of drug abuse on individuals, families, and society were discussed in detail. Participants were motivated to pledge their support for a drug-free society and to act as ambassadors of positive change in their communities.
Pamphlets containing information about SANKALP-HEW were distributed among the participants to reinforce awareness and ensure wider dissemination of information.
The programme concluded with an interactive question-and-answer session, where participants actively engaged with the speakers and clarified their doubts. The event was appreciated by all attendees for its informative and impactful content.
