Srinagar : Police Station Zainaporaon Monday seized two JCBs involved in the unauthorized extraction and transportation of minerals in the Zainapora area.
In a statement issued here on Monday Police said that during a routine patrol, a police team from Police Station Zainapora intercepted two JCBs engaged in illegal mineral extraction without necessary royalty documents. A case was thereafter registered under FIR No. 10/2026, and an investigation is currently underway. In its statement Police reiterated its commitment to safeguard district’s natural resources and pledged to take strict legal action against individuals involved in illegal mining activities, appealing therein people to report any unlawful activities to aid in these efforts.
