Srinagar | 16 Feb : Acting on the directions of National President Dr. Manjeet Singh Patil, the All India NPS Employees Federation (AINPSEF), J&K Chapter — also known as the Jammu Kashmir Employees Forum (JKEF) — launched a coordinated initiative across the Kashmir Valley to highlight the genuine concerns of government employees. The primary demands include restoration of the Old Pension Scheme (OPS), time-bound submission of the 8th Pay Commission report, and uniformity in the pay structure between Central and State Government employees.
In this regard, a delegation of AINPSEF/JKEF J&K, led by President Rafeeq Malik, along with General Secretary Sheikh Aakash, Chairman Muntazir Gulzar, District President Srinagar Tariq Ahmad, and other UT Executive Members, submitted a memorandum of demands to the Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Shri Anshul Garg.
District-Level Submissions
Simultaneously, memoranda were submitted across several districts:
Srinagar: The district unit, headed by District President Sheikh Tariq along with executive members, submitted the memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner Srinagar.
Baramulla: The district unit, led by Chief Spokesperson Showkat Nazir, accompanied by Executive Member Rameez Ahmad and Tehsil President Pattan Riyaz Ahmad Paray, submitted the memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner Baramulla.
Bandipora: Under the leadership of District President Mushtaq Ahmad, the memorandum was submitted to the Deputy Commissioner Bandipora.
The remaining district presidents are scheduled to submit memoranda in their respective districts tomorrow.
Meeting with Member of Parliament
Additionally, the UT leadership of JKEF/AINPSEF met the Hon’ble Member of Parliament Chowdhury Mohammad Ramzan at his office chamber. During the meeting, multiple issues concerning employees of Jammu and Kashmir were discussed in detail, with special emphasis on the restoration of the Old Pension Scheme.
The Member of Parliament assured the delegation of his full support and committed to strongly raising the OPS issue in Parliament.
