Kishtwar : Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Pankaj Kumar Sharma distributed passports, vaccination cards and Hajj guide booklets Saturday to pilgrims from District Kishtwar who are embarking on the sacred Hajj 2026 pilgrimage, scheduled to commence on April 22.
The distribution ceremony took place in the office of the Deputy Commissioner, where a total of 54 pilgrims from District Kishtwar received their travel documents and essential guidance materials for the upcoming pilgrimage.
The Deputy Commissioner extended his best wishes to the pilgrims embarking on the journey of Manasik-e-Hajj.
He emphasised the spiritual significance of Hajj in Islam, describing it as a journey of faith, devotion, sacrifice, unity and submission to the Almighty.
He urged the pilgrims to uphold values of patience, discipline and brotherhood during their pilgrimage and to pray for the peace, harmony and prosperity of the nation and the district.
The administration reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring a smooth and well-coordinated process for all pilgrims, ensuring that all necessary documentation and health-related formalities are completed well in advance.
The pilgrims expressed their gratitude to the district administration for the timely facilitation and support provided to help them undertake this religious obligation.
CPO Kishtwar Akhil Thakur, Incharge Hajj Section DC Office Kishtwar Ayaz Ahmed and other concerned officials were present during the occasion.
