The officials stressed maximising disposal of cases through systematic planning and awareness among stakeholders.
In a separate programme, DLSA Reasi conducted a visit to Sub-Jail Reasi. Secretary DLSA Pooja Gupta emphasised the importance of ensuring timely legal assistance to all eligible prisoners. She also reviewed the functioning of the legal aid clinic inside the jail and issued necessary directions for the effective implementation of the legal services programme.
Additionally, an awareness programme on “Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao” was conducted by the PLVs of Tehsil Legal Services Committee (TLSC) Mahore at the front office of the Mahore Court Complex and various other locations in Mahore. The programme highlighted the scheme and elaborated upon various government initiatives meant for the welfare, education and empowerment of girls, including scholarships, health benefits and legal protections.
Another awareness programme on the observance of traffic rules was carried out by PLVs of TLSC Katra at Fountain Chowk, Katra. The PLVs educated participants about the mandatory use of helmets and seat belts, the dangers of over-speeding, drunken driving, the use of mobile phones while driving and the importance of carrying valid driving documents.
