The government is also addressing infrastructure damage caused by unprecedented rainfall in August 2025, with plans for restoration and significant funding requests submitted. The Deputy Chief Minister outlined achievements in the Industries and Commerce sector, including record investment realizations and a focus on easing business operations. J&K has seen a substantial increase in registered startups, particularly women-led initiatives, and has received national recognition for its business reforms. The handloom and handicraft sectors have also thrived, with financial support for artisans. In the Mining sector, the government is prioritizing sustainable resource management and has implemented digital reforms to enhance transparency and efficiency. The Deputy Chief Minister emphasized the importance of responsible mining practices and the need for a transparent mineral revenue system. Lastly, the Labour and Employment department is committed to safeguarding workers’ interests and promoting entrepreneurship through initiatives like Mission YUVA.
