Udhampur : On the fourth day of the nationwide Financial Literacy Week 2026, Assistant General Manager Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Jammu, Gaganpreet Kaur, led a series of financial awareness camps across Udhampur district.
The programme aimed to deliver financial knowledge to diverse sections of society, including senior citizens, students, Divyangs and security personnel.
The activities were organised at four venues: Divyang Ashram Udhampur, Old Age Home Udhampur, Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS) Battal Ballian and STC BSF Udhampur.
The AGM emphasised that KYC awareness and digital vigilance are essential safeguards against financial crimes. Key topics covered included digital fraud prevention, awareness regarding money mule accounts, phishing and fraudulent investment schemes. The sessions also promoted enrolment under Jan Suraksha Schemes including PMJJBY, PMSBY and APY.
The initiative was supported by the Lead District Manager and the Financial Literacy Centre (FLC).
