Property of drug peddler attached in B’pora: Police

Srinagar : Police on Thursday said that it has attached property (i,e Three story House with Attic) a drug peddler namely Mohd Shafi Sheikh S/o Mohd Shahbaz Sheikh R/o Ward No 5 Sheikh Mohalla Bandipora under section 68-F of NDPS Act 1985.
In a statement issued here on Thursday Police said that a peddler has been implicated in two cases under the NDPS Act, specifically FIR No. 110/2022 and FIR No. 183/2022, at the Bandipora Police Station. During the investigation, the police identified certain properties as illegally acquired, suggesting they were obtained through illicit drug trafficking activities. The individual, known for his drug-related offenses, was detained at Kot Bhalwal Jail in Jammu under the PIT-NDPS Act but has since been released. In its statement Police reiterated its commitment to address the drug issue in the region.
