Handicrafts Deptt B’pora holds Mega Awareness Prog for Artisans, Weavers at Sumbal

Bandipora: Handicrafts Department Bandipora Tuesday conducted a day long Mega Awareness Program at Govt. Boys Hr. Sec. Sumbal, attracting a large gathering of local artisans and weavers.
Block Officer Sumbal provided detailed awareness of schemes among the artisans and weavers for their life long benefits. Besides other officials of department also provided comprehensive information about government schemes aimed at skill development, financial assistance, and market exposure, marketing strategies, e-commerce opportunities, product packaging and branding, GI tagging.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks, reaffirming the department’s commitment to empowering artisans at grassroots level and strengthening the Handicrafts Sector in Bandipora district.
The program was attended by Assistant Director, Handicrafts & Handloom, Bandipora, Vice Principal Boys Hr Sec School Sumbal and a large number of local artisans and weavers.
