DC G’bal reviews progress of various schemes of Agriculture & Allied Deptts

Kishore chairs DLC meet, approves several cases under HADP & JKCIP schemes

Ganderbal: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Jatin Kishore Monday chaired a comprehensive review meeting to assess the progress achieved under the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP), Jammu and Kashmir Competitiveness Improvement in Agriculture and Allied Sectors Project (JKCIP), and other ongoing schemes of the Agriculture and Allied departments in the district.
At the outset, the DC reviewed the latest status of the Unit Establishment, progress of output tracking, credit applications under both HADP and JKCIP schemes of the Agriculture and Allied departments. He also took stock of the functioning of Kisan Khidmat Ghars, including progress made in farmer and farm registrations by Krishi Udyamis.
The DC further assessed the sector-wise financial expenditure under HADP incurred by Agriculture and Allied departments and stressed upon optimal and timely utilization of funds.
Regarding credit applications, the DC directed the Lead District Manager and Cluster Head, J&K Bank to expedite process of all pending credit cases.
Later, the DC chaired a meeting of the District Level Committee (DLC) to evaluate and approve eligible applications received from various Agriculture and Allied departments under the HADP and JKCIP schemes.
After detailed scrutiny, the committee approved 290 cases under JKCIP pertaining to the Agriculture, Sheep Husbandry and Fisheries Departments. Besides, 214 cases were also approved under HADP, related to Agriculture, Sheep Husbandry and Fisheries departments.
The DC directed the concerned officers to ensure speedy processing and timely sanctioning of beneficiary cases. He further emphasized the need for expeditious implementation of approved cases and stressed upon providing handholding support to all beneficiaries to ensure optimal utilization of benefits under the schemes.
The meeting was attended by the Chief Planning Officer, Assistant Commissioner Development, Assistant General Manager NABARD, Chief Agriculture Officer, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, Divisional Forest Officer, Assistant Director Fisheries, Lead District Manager, and other officers and officials of the Agriculture and Allied departments.
