DC inspects dev works in Mendhar, directs for expediting infra projects

Poonch : To ensure mission-mode implementation of Sampoornata Abhiyaan, envisaging 100 percent saturation of flagship schemes and strengthening last-mile service delivery, an Outreach Programme (Public Grievance Redressal Camp) was Saturday organised at Aspirational Block Mankote under the chairmanship of the District Development Commissioner, Ashok Kumar Sharma.
The programme enabled direct interaction between the District Administration and citizens. The public projected demands for augmentation of services, including healthcare, education, ICDS, drinking water, road connectivity, agriculture, animal husbandry, social welfare and basic infrastructure. The DDC issued on-the-spot directions to the concerned line departments for convergence-based solutions and time-bound outcomes in line with the objectives of Sampoornata Abhiyaan.
Later, the DDC chaired a detailed review meeting to assess sector-wise progress under the Sampoornata Abhiyaan and Aspirational Block development Programme, directing officers to bridge identified gaps, accelerate saturation of schemes and strengthen field-level monitoring with clear accountability.
Meanwhile, the District Development Commissioner inspected several ongoing developmental works including the Bridge at Salwah, Clock Tower at Mendhar Town, Court Complex, drainage works in Mendhar Town, Girls Hostel near GMS Khokhar Mohalla and other works of public importance. The DDC directed the executing agencies and concerned departments to speed up the pace of work, maintain quality standards and ensure timely completion for early public benefit.
The combined outreach, review and inspection reflect the district administration’s firm commitment to the vision of Sampornata Abhiyaan, ensuring inclusive development, strengthened infrastructure and improved quality of life in Aspirational Block Mankote and adjoining areas.
