Jammu: The Centre for Good Governance and Policy Analysis (CGG&PA), Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST) in coordination with the Office of the Registrar on Wednesday inaugurated a Two-Day Capacity Building Programme at the Rumi Library Conference Room, aimed at enhancing administrative efficiency and institutional governance.
Chairing the inaugural session Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Shakeel Ramshoo of IUST, emphasized the critical role of administrative competence in contemporary institutions. He highlighted that accountability, transparency, and sustainable growth necessitate a thorough understanding of rules and effective technology utilization. The Registrar of IUST reinforced the significance of continuous capacity building for enhancing service delivery and administrative outcomes. Dr. G. N. Itoo, Director of CGG&PA, articulated the initiative’s broader vision, stating that the program aims to bolster administrative capacity at IUST through ongoing thematic capacity-building sessions focused on efficient, rule-based, and technology-driven governance. Scheduled for February 4 and 5, 2026, the program will cover administrative rules, financial procedures, and digital governance tools. The first day will include expert sessions on managerial skills, secretariat procedures, and e-Office implementation, while the second day will address financial rules, treasury procedures, and e-Procurement (GeM).
