Ramban: Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Mohammad Alyas Khan Wednesday chaired a review meeting to assess the progress of the schemes being implemented by the Rural Development Department (RDD). He issued a string of directions and asked the officers to achieve 100 percent physical and financial targets within the set timelines.
The meeting reviewed progress under major schemes and funding components, including the District Capex Budget 2025–26, UT Capex, SDRF, Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM-G), PMAY-G, Awas Plus, Tribal Plan, MGNREGA, CDF and Rashtriya Gram Swaraj Abhiyan.
The review meeting was attended by Assistant Commissioner Development Sheraz Ahmed, Executive Engineer REW, Block Development Officers and other concerned officers.
Reviewing scheme-wise physical and financial progress, he directed the ACD to furnish daily progress reports of all ongoing schemes and projects to his office.
Taking a detailed review of PMAY-G, the DC instructed the BDOs to ensure completion of all sanctioned houses in their respective blocks. He further directed them to organize special awareness camps to motivate beneficiaries to commence construction where installments have already been released. Stressing adherence to timelines, the DC directed completion of Aadhaar seeding of the PMAY-G houses and e-KYC of MGNREGA job cards in mission mode.
The Deputy Commissioner also reviewed the status of SBM-G and registrations on the JK Samadhan Portal, stressing the need for time-bound redressal of pending grievances.
Assessing the progress of works taken up under District Capex Budget, SDRF and CDF, the DC emphasized strict adherence to approved timelines and quality standards. He directed setting clear deadlines for each scheme and work, with responsibilities clearly defined at the field level.
Reviewing the functioning of REW, the Deputy Commissioner directed the Executive Engineer to expedite the tendering and allotment process of all sanctioned works, including AIP and Technical Sanctions. He instructed that both ongoing SOS works and newly approved projects be completed within stipulated timelines.
