Ganderbal : District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Ganderbal, organized a Special Lok Adalat for Criminal Compoundable Cases Saturday in the District Ganderbal.
The Lok-Adalat was overseen by Shazia Tabasum, Member Secretary, J&K Legal Services Authority, and Abdul Nasir, Chairman, District Legal Services Authority, Ganderbal, along with the guidance of Sheikh Babar Hussain, Secretary, DLSA Ganderbal.
Three Benches were constituted for amicable settlement of the cases. The First Bench was presided over by Nusrat Ali Hakak, Chief Judicial Magistrate, Ganderbal and Sajid Irfan, Deputy Legal Aid Defense Counsel, Ganderbal as the bench member. The Second Bench was presided over by Mahoor, Munsiff/ JMIC, Ganderbal and Asima Khaliq, Assistant Legal Aid Defense Counsel, Ganderbal as the Bench Member. The Third Bench was presided over by Moonis Wahid, Munsiff/ JMIC, Kangan and Advocate, Suhail Ahmad Mir as the Bench member. First two benches heard cases at District Court Complex, Ganderbal and third bench heard cases at Munsiff/JMIC Court Kangan.
A total number of 35 cases were taken up by the Benches, out of which 7 cases were successfully settled.
The Lok Adalat conducted reflects the unwavering commitment of District Legal Services Authority, Ganderbal in delivering justice to all.
