LG Sinha Hosts Series of Delegations; Receives Book on ‘Battle of Hill Kaka’

JAMMU – It was a busy Saturday at the Raj Bhawan as Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha met with several high-profile political leaders, public delegations, and civil society groups to discuss regional development and security.
Political Leaders Seek Developmental Intervention

The LG held individual meetings with several prominent elected representatives and party leaders to discuss the pulse of their respective constituencies:

BJP Leadership: Senior BJP leader and former MLC Vibodh Gupta, accompanied by Munish Sharma, called on the LG to discuss matters of public importance.

DDC Srinagar: Aftab Malik, Chairman of the District Development Council Srinagar, briefed the LG on ongoing developmental projects and administrative concerns in the summer capital.

MLA Karnah: Javid Ahmad Mirchal led a public delegation to highlight specific infrastructure and development issues facing the Karnah constituency.

MLA Mata Vaishno Devi: Baldev Raj Sharma met with the LG to discuss the needs of the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi constituency.

Civil Society and Trade Delegations

The Lieutenant Governor also gave an audience to various interest groups seeking to improve local trade and community welfare:

Trade & Tourism: Representatives from the Kanak Mandi Traders Association and the Patnitop Hotel and Restaurant Association raised concerns regarding regional commerce and the tourism sector.

Community Groups: Delegations from the All J&K Christian Sabha and the Mata Bhaderkali Asthapan Trust (Thalwal), led by President Dileep ji Pandita, also held discussions at the Raj Bhawan.

Literary Contribution: “The Battle of Hill Kaka”

In a notable cultural highlight, LG Sinha was presented with a new book titled The Battle of Hill Kaka, authored by M.S. Nazki. The book chronicles significant military/regional history and was formally received by the LG during the day’s proceedings.
