DC Pulwama inaugurates CSC Center of Excellence for e-Governance at Pulwama

Pulwama : Deputy Commissioner Pulwama, Dr. Basharat Qayoom, Saturday inaugurated the CSC Center of Excellence (CoE) for E-Governance at Pulwama, marking a significant step towards strengthening digital governance and enhancing citizen-centric service delivery in the district.
The Center of Excellence has been established to provide a wide range of digital services under one roof, aimed at improving accessibility, efficiency and transparency in public service delivery.
On the occasion, District Manager, CSC E-Governance, briefed the Deputy Commissioner about the various facilities available at the Centre, including Government-to-Citizen (G2C) services, welfare schemes, financial inclusion services, Aadhaar services, public utility services and e-commerce facilities.
The Deputy Commissioner appreciated the efforts of the CSC operators and stated that such initiatives not only strengthen their livelihood opportunities but also significantly contribute to strengthening e-governance in the district.
Dr. Qayoom emphasized that the Center of Excellence would serve as a one-stop solution for citizens to access various digital and public services in a convenient and transparent manner.
He further directed the District Manager, CSC E-Governance, to carry out extensive Information, Education and Communication (IEC) activities to create awareness among the public about the services available at the Centre. He also instructed that the rate list of services be prominently displayed to ensure transparency and prevent overcharging.
The Deputy Commissioner also emphasized the importance of leveraging digital platforms to ensure timely, transparent and hassle-free services to citizens.
Among others, the inauguration ceremony was attended by Chief Planning Officer, Pulwama; Assistant Commissioner Development, Pulwama; and Assistant Commissioner Panchayat, Pulwama.
