Washington: The United States has named a 15-member squad for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, led by captain Monank Patel, with as many as 10 players retained from their historic debut campaign in 2024.
USA will be making their second appearance at the Men’s T20 World Cup after reaching the Super 8 stage in debut year, a run that marked one of the standout stories of the tournament, according to the International Cricket Council (ICC) website.
Apart from skipper Patel, the returning players from the 2024 edition include Jessy Singh, Andries Gous, Milind Kumar, Shayan Jahangir, Harmeet Singh, Nosthush Kenjige, Shadley Van Schalkwyk, Saurabh Netravalkar, and Ali Khan, providing continuity and experience to the squad.
Wicketkeeper-batter Andries Gous was the USA’s leading run-scorer in the 2024 tournament, amassing 219 runs, while left-arm pacer Saurabh Netravalkar emerged as the side’s standout bowler with a tournament-high six wickets.
The squad also features a mix of fresh faces, with Shubham Ranjane set to make his T20I debut at the global event. Mohammad Mohsin and Shehan Jayasuriya are also in line for their first international caps should they feature during the tournament.
Placed in Group A, the USA will face India, Pakistan, the Netherlands, and Namibia in the group stage. They will open their campaign against India on February 7 in Mumbai.
