Jammu : Minister for Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Transport, Youth Services and Sports, Satish Sharma Friday met various public delegations at the Civil Secretariat, Jammu and held detailed interactions to review issues affecting different sections of the society.
During the meetings, the delegations brought to the notice of the Minister a range of demands and grievances relating to food supply, transport services, youth welfare, sports infrastructure and other developmental matters concerning their respective areas.
The Minister, while responding to their concerns, assured the delegations that the same would be addressed on priority through coordinated departmental action.
Reaffirming government’s commitment to responsive, transparent and citizen-centric governance, Satish Sharma emphasized that efficient and time-bound service delivery remains the cornerstone of effective administration. He stressed that every government office must function with a public-first approach, ensuring accessibility, accountability and prompt resolution of grievances.
The Minister highlighted the need for greater inter-departmental coordination to eliminate delays and enhance the quality of services being delivered to the people. He directed the concerned officers to conduct timely follow-ups, maintain regular communication with stakeholders and ensure that public grievances are resolved in a transparent and outcome-oriented manner.
Satish Sharma further instructed the officials to strengthen the monitoring mechanisms so that benefits of various government welfare schemes reach the intended beneficiaries without procedural hurdles. He underlined that technology-driven governance, simplified procedures and proactive outreach are essential to improve public trust in institutions.
He added that sustained engagement with the public and grassroots-level feedback would continue to guide the government’s policies and developmental priorities.
