G’bal/Sopian: Amid heavy snowfall and adverse weather conditions, Police in Ganderbal and Shopian extended timely assistance to the general public, reaffirming their commitment to public service and humanitarian responsibility.

Police teams remained deployed on the ground despite harsh conditions and worked relentlessly to ensure the safety and well-being of stranded commuters. Several vehicles trapped in deep snow were evacuated, while vulnerable travellers were provided on-the-spot assistance and facilitated safe movement.

In Shopian as well, police personnel remained actively engaged in assisting the public amid fresh snowfall, responding promptly to distress calls and ensuring smooth passage on affected stretches. Meanwhile, police have appealed to the general public and tourists to exercise utmost caution, adhere to travel advisories, and strictly follow safety protocols while travelling during inclement weather.
