Govt deptts, institutions celebrate R-Day across Jammu Division

Jammu: The Government departments, educational institutions and Prison Department across Jammu Division joined the Nation in the Republic Day celebrations.
Agriculture Department: Agriculture Department Jammu celebrated the 77th Republic Day with great pride and patriotic fervour at the Directorate of Agriculture, Krishi Bhawan. Director Agriculture Jammu, Anil Gupta unfurled the National Flag and took the salute, marking the solemn occasion. The programme was attended by all the officers and staff of the Directorate.As part of the celebrations, the staff presented a colorful cultural programme featuring patriotic songs and awareness skits.Later, the Director Agriculture gave away awards to several employees in recognition of their dedication and outstanding performance.
Distt Jail Kathua: The 77th Republic Day was celebrated with patriotic fervour at District Jail Kathua.Jail Superintendent, Mohinder Paul unfurled the National Flag in the presence of jail staff and personnel of the CRPF. The ceremony marked the celebration of the spirit of the Constitution and national unity within the jail premises. The jail inmates also participated in the celebrations.
Central Jail Jammu Kotbhalwal: 77th Republic Day was celebrated at Central Jail Kotbhalwal with great joy and enthusiasm. Celebration started with the unfurling of the National Flag by Jail Superintendent, Chhabil Singh who also spoke on the importance of the Republic Day.Officers/officials of Jail and CISF were present on the occasion. A colourful cultural programme was presented by jail staff, CISF and inmates. Bara Khana was also arranged for inmates on the eve of Republic Day.
GDC Basohli: Government Degree College (GDC), Basohli celebrated the 77th Republic Day with enthusiasm and patriotic zeal.Principal and the chief guest of the function, Prof. Raj Kiran Sharma unfurled the National Flag followed by a Guard of Honour presented by the NCC cadets of the college.Addressing the august gathering, Prof. Raj Kiran Sharma highlighted the significance of the Indian Constitution and emphasized the need to uphold its values in both personal and professional life. The programme concluded with the singing of the National Anthem, filling the atmosphere with pride, unity and national spirit.
