*Baramulla: 26 Jan : the 77th Republic Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor across District Baramulla. The main function was held at District Police Lines (DPL), Baramulla, where the Hon’ble Minister Shri Javaid Ahmad Dar unfurled the National Flag in the presence of DIG North Kashmir Shri Maqsood-ul-Zamaan (IPS), Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, SSP Baramulla, and senior officers of the civil and police administration.
The event witnessed a large public gathering of approximately 7,000 to 7,500 people, reflecting the strong spirit of patriotism among the citizens.
On the occasion, the Chief Guest inspected the parade, which was commanded by Probationer DySP Bhageshwar Sharma (JKPS). The parade contingents presented an impressive display of discipline and coordination, symbolizing unity, dedication, and national pride.
The parade featured smartly turned-out contingents of JKP, BSF, CRPF, SSB, Home Guards, IRP, NCC, and school students from various educational institutions of District Baramulla, who participated with great enthusiasm and added color and vibrancy to the celebrations.
The celebrations were further enriched by colorful cultural performances presented by school students, showcasing the rich cultural heritage of the region. These performances were highly appreciated by the dignitaries, members of the general public, school students, and senior citizens present on the occasion.
The event concluded on a note of pride and unity, reaffirming the spirit of patriotism and collective commitment towards the nation.
