Government has deployed a multi-tier security arrangement across the Union Territory, using CCTV and drones to safeguard Republic Day avenues across the districts in Jammu and Kashmir.

Jammu & Kashmir like other parts of the country is all set to celebrate 77th Republic Day Celebrations with patriotic fervour today. From snow capped peaks of Gulmarg to plains of Srinagar and major towns of Kashmir valley the Government has put in place a robust multi-tiers security arrangement for the peaceful conduct of the Republic Day celebrations across the Union Territory. As part of the robust security arrangements CCTV camera and drones are monitoring the situation in and around the Republic Day venues both in twin capital cities Srinagar and Jammu and all district headquarters in both Kashmir valley and as well as Jammu division. Army and Border Security Force (BSF) are intensifying their vigil the line of control (LoC) and International border just to ensure a safe and secure environment for the Republic Day celebrations across the union territory including the border areas. A heightened alertness and strategic surveillance is part of a strategy that is followed to guarantee a safe and secure environment for people to celebrate a mega national event like Republic Day   with patriotic fervour across the Union Territory. Notably Government as per the precedence of recent years has extended an open invitation to people to walk free into the Republic day venues without any fear and hesitation to join the Republic Day celebrations both at the twin capital cities and major towns across the districts in the union territory. With peace and stability taking roots in the region the people have been showing great deal of enthusiasm in participating Independence and Republic day celebrations across Jammu & Kashmir particularly Kashmir Valley.

“The open invitation for citizens to join Republic Day celebrations in Jammu & Kashmir reflects a government commitment to peace and accessibility. By ensuring a secure yet “congenial” atmosphere at venues like M.A. and Bakhshi Stadiums, the event has transformed into a collective display of constitutional pride and a shared vision for a brighter future.”

Additionally unlike past teachers and students are now seen unfurling national flags at school buildings illuminated fully by the Government days before the commencement of Independence and day celebrations. Though security remains tight under some advisories issued by police just to bar people from carrying electronic gadgets or bulky bags for security reasons the freedom given to people to join the Republic Day celebrations without any fear or hesitation sends out a message that Government is determined is to create a congenial atmosphere for celebrating the day with minimum inconvenience to the common man” ensuring that the pride of the Republic is felt by every citizen. As the National Flag flutters high over M.A. Stadium and Bakhshi Stadium, Jammu & Kashmir erupts in celebration! It’s more than just Republic Day; it’s a powerful display of constitutional pride and our collective journey toward a brighter future.
