Kupwara: On the directions of the Deputy Commissioner, Kupwara, Shrikant Suse, a public reading of digitized Jamabandis and recording of grievances for Village Rakhmachhwari was conducted Wednesday at Panchayat Ghar, Radbugha.
Naib Tehsildar, Drugmulla, supervised the programme to ensure fairness, accuracy, and smooth conduct of the proceedings. Local residents and other stakeholders of the village participated in the programme, reflecting strong public engagement.
The concerned GQ/Patwari, along with other deputed officials, were present on the occasion. The Lambardar and Chowkidars of the village also attended the programme to facilitate coordination and public outreach. A grievance register, as per the prescribed format, was maintained on the spot for recording objections and representations from the public.
The programme was conducted in a smooth, transparent, and orderly manner, providing a platform to the public to verify land records and raise their concerns. The initiative was appreciated by the participants, as it ensured accessibility, accountability, and effective grievance redressal.
