Says “Quality, timely updation key to effective implementation”

Pulwama: Deputy Commissioner Pulwama Wednesday chaired a review meeting at administrative complex Pulwama to assess the status of digitisation of Jamabandies across the district.
The meeting focused on reviewing progress at various stages of the process and ensuring timely completion of the exercise.
During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner took a detailed halqa-wise review of all tehsils and sought details regarding pendencies at the Maker, Checker and Approval levels. He directed the concerned Tehsildars to devise a clear action plan for expediting the completion of pendencies and emphasized the need for close supervision at the field level.
Dr. Qayoom further instructed the Tehsildars to monitor progress on a daily basis, fix clear targets for Patwaris and ensure regular follow-up to avoid delays. He further directed that villages where digitisation has been completed should be frozen promptly on the portal and the draft records shared with village Numberdars and Chowkidars to facilitate the collection of public grievances, if any.
Concluding the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner highlighted the need to speed up the digitisation process while maintaining accuracy and accountability. In addition to timely completion, emphasis was laid on maintaining high quality standards and ensuring effective grievance collection and redressal mechanisms.
The Deputy Commissioner stressed that coordinated efforts at all levels are essential for the successful implementation of the digitisation initiative.
The meeting was attended by the Assistant Commissioner Revenue (ACR) Pulwama and all concerned Tehsildars.
