ADDC Shopian presides over Block Diwas at block Ramnagri

Shopian: Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Shopian, Dr. Nasir Ahmed Lone Wednesday presided over a block diwas at Chek SaidporaRamnagri
aimed at strengthening participatory governance and ensuring effective delivery of public services at the grassroots level.
The ADDC reviewed the progress of ongoing developmental projects in the block and stressed upon quality execution of works, convergence among departments and optimal utilisation of funds. He also emphasized creating awareness among the public regarding various flagship government schemes so that eligible beneficiaries are covered without delay.
Interacting with the officials, the ADDC urged them to maintain regular field presence and adopt a people-centric approach while addressing public grievances. He reiterated that Block Diwas serves as an important platform for direct interaction between the administration and citizens, helping bridge gaps and improve service delivery.
During the Block Diwas, the ADDC listened patiently to issues and demands raised by the public pertaining to developmental works, rural infrastructure, water supply, power, health services, education, road connectivity, installation of mobile tower for enhancing network facility in the area, irrigation pump Shed, upgradation of PHC, renovation of Primary School building, widening of Sedow Shopian road, construction of Springs, functioning of Check Saidapora water supply scheme, disiliting of Khudpora to Amshipora irrigation khul, completion of languishing project (famous Shah Khul), PMAY cases, lifting of garbage, etc.
Officers concerned were directed to examine the issues on priority and ensure time-bound redressal in a transparent and accountable manner.
On the occasion, Chief Horticulture Officer apprised the people about some welfare schemes of Horticulture and asked for availing of benefits of these schemes meant for the well-being of the people.
The programme witnessed active participation of DDC Member, Ramnagri; BDO, Ramnagri, officers from various departments, officials and local residents.
