Kishtwar: The First Phase of Orientation-cum-Training on Manasik-e-Hajj was imparted to the Haj Pilgrims of Kishtwar District,
A total of 55 persons, including 19 women and 36 men, selected for this year’s pilgrimage from the district, attended the orientation programme.
The training programme was held in the presence of Deputy Commissioner Pankaj Kumar Sharma. He emphasized the importance of proper orientation of the pilgrims for smooth and spiritually fulfilling pilgrimage.
The pilgrims were informed about the Manasik-e-Hajj, travel documents, accommodation arrangements, health-related precautions and other important guidelines necessary for undertaking the sacred journey.
The pilgrims were advised to strictly adhere to the scheduled dates and timings of the coming training sessions and to follow the guidelines issued by the Haj Committee from time to time.
Series of activities held under Vande Mataram Phase-II campaign in Udhampur
Udhampur: As part of the ongoing Vande Mataram Phase-II campaign, a series of activities were organised on Tuesday across different blocks of Udhampur district under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner, Saloni Rai.
The programme featured cleanliness drives, rendition of the National song in the educational institutions and other activities to promote patriotism, civic sense and public participation in maintaining cleanliness and discipline.
Community level events witnessed participation of functionaries from government departments and local residents.
The campaign witnessed vibrant participation, reflecting strong public support and community involvement.
