B’gam: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Budgam, Dr. Bilal Mohi-ud-Din Bhat, on Tuesday chaired a meeting of the District Telecom Committee (DTC) to review issues related to the installation of mobile towers and overall telecom infrastructure development in the district.
The meeting focused on addressing public grievances, streamlining inter-departmental coordination, and facilitating the expeditious implementation of telecom projects, including the USOF 4G Saturation Project in the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir.
During the meeting, the DC emphasized the importance of robust telecom connectivity for governance, emergency services, education and economic activities. The DC reiterated that the District Telecom Committee shall act as a single-window coordination mechanism to resolve public grievances related to mobile tower installations and other telecom-related issues. He further directed that the Committee shall meet at regular intervals to ensure effective monitoring and speedy resolution of pending matters.
The DC stressed that all departments must work in close coordination to ensure the timely completion of telecom infrastructure projects, especially in unserved and underserved areas of the district, thereby improving digital connectivity and public service delivery.
