Samba : President J&K BJP and Rajya Sabha MP Sat Sharma, alongside key party leaders, addressed a significant public program under the VB-GRAM-G initiative in Samba district. The event was held to promote ‘Viksit Bharat and G-Ram-G’ awareness campaign, encouraging public participation in the mission to develop India into a prosperous nation.
Addressing the event Sat Sharma outlined the ‘Viksit Bharat’ vision as a comprehensive roadmap aimed at transforming India by 2047 through infrastructure development, economic reforms, and social empowerment. He emphasized that Jammu and Kashmir, previously hindered by instability and poor governance, is now experiencing a historic transformation under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, integrating into the national development framework. Ashok Koul highlighted the significant advancements in infrastructure, healthcare, education, and digital connectivity since the abrogation of Article 370, noting that these improvements have fostered regional balance and enhanced access to remote areas. He stressed the importance of grassroots empowerment through the G-Ram-G initiative, which promotes participatory development involving local communities. Surjit Singh Salathia discussed the role of transparent governance and digital platforms in ensuring welfare schemes effectively reach beneficiaries. He mentioned the Centre’s allocation of ₹1,430 crore for flood restoration efforts in Jammu, aimed at repairing infrastructure and enhancing disaster mitigation. Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal emphasized the alignment of the G-Ram-G initiative with Modi’s vision of empowering villages, focusing on improving infrastructure and promoting local entrepreneurship. He noted the importance of skill development programs to enable youth to become job creators, thereby channeling their energy into constructive nation-building. The event concluded with a call for public support for the Viksit Bharat campaign, reinforcing the collective effort needed to build a self-reliant India.
