Republic Day 2026: Div Com, IGP Jammu review arrangements at M A stadium

Jammu: Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Ramesh Kumar and Inspector General of Police Bhim Sen Tuti Friday visited M A Stadium to review the arrangements for UT level Republic Day 2026 celebrations.
Senior officials from Police and Civil administration, including Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Commissioner Jammu Municipal Corporation, Director Information, SSP Jammu, HoDs of line departments were present.
During the visit, the Divisional Commissioner and the IGP Jammu took stock of arrangements and preparations assigned to various departments for the smooth and successful conduct of the national festival.
Reviewing the arrangements, the Div Com stressed maintaining close synergy among the departments while executing the plans. The officials were directed to finalise all arrangements on the ground well in time.
The Div Com and IGP took a detailed review of security arrangements, frisking points, traffic management, seating plan, posters, floral decoration, sanitation, illumination, power and water supply, transport service for ferrying participants and citizens to the venue, fire emergency plan, medical facilities, ambulances and other preparations.
Directions were issued for round the clock presence of field staff of all line departments including PDD, PHE and PWD in the control room. The Div Com further directed for water proof tentage and heating arrangements in anticipation of adverse weather conditions.
Proper rehearsals of the parade contingents, timing of tableau and cultural performances were also discussed for seamless execution of all the activities of the Republic Day celebration 2026
