RAMBAN, JANUARY 17: Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Mohammad Alyas Khan, along with Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Arun Gupta, today visited Tanger village and inspected the Sawalkote Hydroelectric Project site to take a firsthand appraisal of the security scenario and ongoing allied works.

During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner held detailed discussions with officers of NHPC regarding preparedness related to the execution of the prestigious Sawalkote Hydroelectric Project. The NHPC officers briefed the DC about local and related issues, besides outlining the steps being taken to ensure smooth execution of the project.

Meanwhile, the DC and SSP Ramban reviewed the security scenario at the project site and discussed security requirements with the concerned authorities to ensure a safe and secure environment for project execution.

The Deputy Commissioner also reviewed the overall developmental scenario of the area and interacted with local residents to listen to their issues and grievances. Most of the basic amenities-related issues raised by the locals were resolved on the spot. The DC issued directions to the concerned officers to address all genuine pending issues promptly.

Tehsildar Ramban, Deep Kumar; Block Development Officer (BDO) Gandhri and other concerned officers accompanied the DC.
