ADGP Armed reviews functioning, Operational Preparedness of IRP 24th Battalion at Udhampur

Jammu :Anand JainAdditional Director General (ADG), Armed, accompanied by Vinod Kumar, ,DIG IRP Jammu on Friday visited IRP 24th Battalion Sui, Udhampur, to assess the overall functioning of the unit and reviewed its operational preparedness.
Upon his arrival, Jain was accorded a ceremonial welcome from Mohd Aslam, the Commandant of the Battalion, along with other officers. The Additional Director General of Armed Forces was thoroughly briefed on the unit’s organizational structure, duties, and operational responsibilities. During his visit, Jain inspected various facilities including barracks, mess, Motor Transport section, and offices, expressing satisfaction with the Battalion’s discipline and professional functioning. A darbar was held where Jain engaged with officers and personnel, addressing their grievances and assuring them of prompt resolution. He highlighted the significance of discipline, professionalism, physical fitness, and teamwork, while also warning against drug abuse and other social issues. Additionally, Jain reviewed the ongoing construction of the Battalion Headquarters in Ritti, Udhampur, and visited D Company in Ramnagar to evaluate the living and mess facilities available to the personnel. Notable attendees included Sara Rizvi, DIG Udhampur-Reasi Range, Amod Ashok Nagpure, SSP Udhampur, and Rajinder Singh, SSP APCR Jammu, along with other officers.
