Budgam : District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Budgam participated in a Veteran Day programme at Jakli Centre, Rangreth, Srinagar, organized by Zila Sainik Board, Srinagar.
The programme was organized with the objective of honouring the sacrifices of the families of armed forces personnel and to create awareness among Veer Naris and Veer Parivars regarding the welfare measures, benefits, and support mechanisms available under the Veer Parivar Sahayata Yojana and other related schemes.
During the programme, the DLSA Budgam deputed resource persons, who sensitized the participants about their legal rights and entitlements, including the availability of free legal aid and legal assistance through the Legal Services Authorities. The initiative aimed to ensure that the families of veterans and martyrs are adequately informed about the institutional support systems available for their social and legal empowerment.
