Students from Govt, Private schools present vibrant performances
Poonch : As part of the preparations for the Republic Day Celebrations 2026, the screening of cultural items was organized in Poonch, featuring enthusiastic participation from students of government and private schools of Poonch city and its adjoining areas.
The screening was conducted by a Committee headed by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Tahir Mustafa Malik, who closely reviewed the cultural performances presented on the occasion.
Interacting with the participating students and their teachers, the ADC expressed satisfaction over the quality and diversity of the performances. He encouraged the participants to put in further efforts to enhance the overall presentation. He also stressed that all cultural items must strictly adhere to the prescribed time limits during the main Republic Day function.
The event was attended by General Manager DIC, Naheem Un Nissa Bhatti; District Treasury Officer, Mohd. Hanief Tantray; Chief Education Officer Poonch, Mukhtar Ahmed Manhas; District Cultural Officer, Rajouri–Poonch Range, Dr. Alamdar Adam; District Youth Services and Sports Officer, Mohd. Qasim; Principal, Girls Higher Secondary School Poonch, Anjuman Shaheen along with staff members from different schools and other concerned officials.
The screening aimed to ensure well-coordinated, disciplined and high-quality cultural presentations during the forthcoming Republic Day celebrations, reflecting the rich cultural heritage and patriotic spirit of the region.
