Doda : A one-day orientation training programme on the National Programme for Prevention and Control of Fluorosis (NPPCF) was Wednesday organized for Medical Officers and Paramedical staff here in the Conference Hall CMO Office.
The training programme was aimed to strengthen the capacity of frontline healthcare workers, enabling them to effectively implement NPPCF activities at the grassroots level and improve community health outcomes in the district.
The training was organized under the guidance of the Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Tanveer Ahmed Rather amid active participation from healthcare professionals representing all medical blocks of the district.
Dr. Tahir Muneeb Zargar was the Resource Person, who delivered a comprehensive and insightful lecture on different aspects of the NPPCF programme, including its objectives, implementation strategies and the role of healthcare workers in prevention, early detection and management of fluorosis.
Interacting with the participants, Dr Zargar emphasised the importance of early identification and timely management of fluorosis at the community level. He highlighted the need for inter-sectoral coordination, regular surveillance and community awareness to effectively address fluorosis-related health issues. He also encouraged healthcare professionals to play a proactive role in educating the public about preventive measures, safe drinking water and the reporting mechanism under the NPPCF programme.
The programme was efficiently managed and coordinated by FLC NCD Mohammad Faheem Butt, who ensured smooth conduct of the training session.
