Says ‘Move aims to strengthen digital literacy’
Doda : Deputy Commissioner Doda, Harvinder Singh Wednesday handed over computer systems to government schools as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen digital literacy and enhance access to information technology in rural and remote areas of the district.
Under the initiative, two computers were provided to Government Upper Primary School (UPS) Kumral-Zone Gundna and three computers to Government High School Kuddhar- Zone Bhagwah.
The initiative aims to promote digital literacy among students, enhance teaching–learning processes and bridge the digital divide between urban and rural schools.
The Deputy Commissioner emphasized that access to computers will help students gain essential ICT skills, support online learning and expose them to modern educational resources, thereby improving overall academic outcomes.
While interacting with teachers and officials, the Deputy Commissioner stressed the need for optimum utilization and maintenance of the provided equipment. He directed the school authorities to ensure that students are well trained in basic computer skills and that the facilities are used effectively for academic purposes, including digital classrooms, e-learning modules and project-based learning.
The school staff and local representatives expressed gratitude to the District Administration for the timely support, terming it a significant step towards modernizing government schools.
