Baramulla : Deputy Commissioner, Baramulla, Minga Sherpa Wednesday chaired a review-cum-dissemination meeting for the implementation of the Foundational First Programme in Uri Block, aligned with the Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) goals under NEP 2020.

The meeting was attended by the Chief Education Officer, Baramulla; Deputy Chief Education Officer; concerned officers of the Education Department; and representatives of the Pratham Education Foundation.

Through a detailed presentation the progress, outcomes, and key findings of the programme were highlighted to the chair.

During the meeting, in-depth and productive deliberations were held on various assessment and monitoring frameworks, including the ASER Report, PARAKH Framework, and the Endline Report of the Foundational First Programme. These reports were reviewed to assess learning outcomes, implementation progress, and the overall impact of the programme in Uri Block.

The DC emphasized the need for evidence-based planning, regular monitoring, and effective inter-departmental coordination to further strengthen foundational learning.

He appreciated the collaborative efforts of the Education Department and the Pratham Education Foundation, stressing the importance of scaling up successful practices to improve early-grade learning outcomes across Baramulla district.
