Anantnag : To address the concerns of the local community and ensure effective public service delivery, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Anantnag, SF Hamid presided over the outreach and grievance redressal programme, Block Diwas Wednesday at Khiram.
The program was attended by SDM Bijbihara, ACD, Tehsildar Srigufwara, BMO, BDO, concerned officers from various departments, members of civil society, ex PRI members and the local public.
During the program, the DC gave a patient hearing to the residents who raised issues pertaining to road and telecom connectivity, healthcare services, lift irrigation and borewell schemes, provision of electric poles, solar lights and other amenities, school upgradation, creation of new government institutions, land compensation, among others.
Addressing the gathering, the DC re-tierated the district administration’s commitment to the time-bound resolution of all genuine grievances, assuring that issues would be taken up with the suitable authorities for effective redressal. He issued on-spot directions to the concerned officers to ensure prompt and efficient resolution of genuine concerns raised by the public.
On the occasion, the representatives of line departments imparted awareness to the participants about respective beneficiary oriented schemes, online services and welfare initiatives.
Lastly, the DC issued directions to the departments to conduct special beneficiary registration and enrollment camps in the area during the next week for saturation of all Centrally Sponsored and Welfare Schemes.
