Respect People’s Mandate, Restore Full Statehood To J&K: MP Chowdhry Ramzan Tells Centre

Srinagar: Additional General Secretary J&K National Conference and Member Parliament (Rajya Sabha), Chowdary Muhammad Ramzan Tuesday strongly urged New Delhi to respect the democratic mandate of the people of Jammu and Kashmir and fulfill its promise of restoring full-fledged statehood to Jammu and Kashmir.

Speaking to delegations at the party headquarters in Srinagar who informed him about various civic, developmental, and administrative issues impacting their areas Chowdhary Ramzan promised to raising these concerns with the relevant ministers for prompt resolution. He emphasized that the restoration of full statehood is not just a political demand but a fundamental democratic and constitutional right for the people of Jammu and Kashmir. Ramzan urged that New Delhi must respect the electoral mandate and restore statehood without delay. He acknowledged the efforts of the Omar Abdullah-led Government in addressing development gaps, enhancing governance, and rebuilding public trust in institutions. Ramzan noted that the government has made strides in making power more accessible to the public, ensuring accountability and responsiveness in administration.
