Srinagar : Police on Tuesday said it has arrested two drug peddlers along with huge quantity of contraband substance in Pulwama.
In a statement issued here on Tuesday a police party during a naka checking operation on Tengpona road intercepted two individuals, Tanveer Ahmad Wagay and Mohd Maqbool Shah, who were found in possession of 20.675 kilograms of a substance resembling Charas, concealed in nylon bags. Both suspects have been arrested and taken to the police station, where they are currently in custody. A case has been registered under FIR No. 05/2026, and further investigations are currently underway. In its statement Police reiterated its commitment to combat drug-related issues in society and appealed people to share with it inputs about drug trafficking activities.
